The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, Finance & Commercial Support Services, the Finance Manager will take a lead role across the day-to-day finance function while contributing at a broader organisational level.
  
You will provide oversight across financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, revenue and funding, payroll, accounts payable, client finances, audit and compliance. Working closely with operational and senior leaders, you will ensure financial information is meaningful, accessible and used to support sound decision-making.
  
You will also lead an established finance team, setting priorities, developing capability and supporting a collaborative, high-performing environment. As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with the GM and have the opportunity to deputise when required.
  
Key Responsibilities
This role will see you:

• Lead, coach and develop the finance team.
• Manage monthly and annual financial reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis.
• Provide financial insight and advice to operational and senior leaders.
• Oversee revenue, receivables, accounts payable, taxation and financial controls.
• Maintain oversight of funding arrangements and relationships with external funders.
• Contribute to payroll oversight and provide backup when required.
• Support audit preparation and ongoing compliance requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes and reporting.
• Contribute to wider organisational initiatives as part of the senior leadership team.

About You
You will be an experienced finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and the confidence to lead people, build relationships and engage across the wider organisation.
  
You will bring:

• Significant relevant accounting and financial management experience.
• CA qualification or equivalent, or be actively working towards CA qualification.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting capability.
• Proven experience leading and developing staff.
• Sound knowledge of financial controls, compliance and audit requirements.
• Confidence working across accounting systems, with Xero experience advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn financial information into practical advice.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive and curious approach, with the confidence to ask questions and take ownership.
• An adaptable, collaborative style and alignment with Brackenridge’s values.

Previous experience in the disability sector is not essential. More important will be your ability to understand the organisation, connect with Brackenridge’s purpose and bring the financial and leadership capability required to make an impact.
