A varied EA role for a proactive, highly organised professional who thrives on staying ahead, supporting leaders and making things happen.

Are you the kind of EA who sees what needs doing before anyone else even realises it needs to be done?

We’re looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to step into a temporary assignment within a professional Christchurch organisation.

This is a role for someone who likes to be in the middle of things and making them happen. There are Board meetings approaching, an event to organise, senior leaders to support and an office that needs someone capable, organised and one step ahead.

One minute you could be preparing Board materials, the next coordinating travel, pulling together an event or simply sorting something before anyone else has realised it needs doing.

The opportunity
Working across five mornings each week, you’ll provide high-level support to senior leaders and the Board, with plenty to take ownership of from day one.
You’ll be responsible for:
  • Proactively managing executive schedules, priorities and key commitments
  • Preparing strategic materials, plans and executive-level information
  • Coordinating Board meetings, papers, packs and follow-up actions
  • Managing travel, meetings and key logistics
  • Coordinating staff events and office requirements
  • Keeping the day-to-day office organised and running well
About you
You’ll be an experienced EA, PA or senior administrator who has supported senior leaders and Boards within a professional environment.

You’re driven, outgoing and highly organised. You think on your feet, anticipate what’s coming and get things actioned without needing to be asked. You enjoy being busy, take ownership naturally and have the judgement to work out what needs your attention first.

You’ll also be polished and professional, with strong attention to detail, discretion and confidence dealing with senior stakeholders. Board support and Board pack experience is essential, but there’s no ego here – you’ll be just as comfortable rolling your sleeves up and taking care of the everyday things that keep an office moving.

Why consider this role?
25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, ideally 8am–1pm, with some flexibility around start time for the right person.

You’ll join a supportive fun team, have plenty of variety and autonomy, and be trusted to get on with what needs doing – while still having your afternoons free.

If you’re an experienced EA who thrives on being busy, staying ahead and making things happen, we’d love to hear from you.
