Executive leadership role driving organisational quality, risk, privacy and continuous improvement in a values-led disability sector organisation.

Shape how quality works - not just how it's reported.
  • Lead improvement complementing compliance
  • Influence at Executive level
  • Work where outcomes genuinely matter
Brackenridge is a values-led organisation supporting people with disabilities, autism and complex needs to live great lives of their choosing. Working in partnership with the people we support and their families/whānau, we are proud of a culture grounded in person-centred practice, continuous improvement, and a genuine commitment to outcomes.

We are now seeking an experienced and values-led senior leader to join us as Manager - Organisational Quality, Risk Assurance & Improvement.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and sitting within the Executive Leadership Team, this role is pivotal to strengthening organisational quality systems, policies, risk management, privacy and records management, while driving continuous improvement that lifts outcomes for the people we serve.

The opportunity

This is not a purely advisory or compliance role. While you will lead through influence across the organisation, this is also a hands-on leadership position. You will own key systems and processes, lead investigations and improvement activity and ensure that quality frameworks translate into meaningful, practical outcomes across a complex, 24/7 service environment.

You'll sit at the intersection of systems and people - ensuring what we say we do is actually what happens in practice.

What you'll do
  • Lead and embed an outcomes-focused continuous quality improvement and assurance framework and annual quality plans
  • Oversee serious incident and complaint response processes, registers, learnings and improvement action plans
  • Strengthen risk management policy, frameworks, reporting, and business continuity preparedness
  • Work closely with the Service Delivery Quality & Practice Manager on issues relating to quality of practice
  • Fulfil the role of Privacy Officer, maintaining policies, education and audit mechanisms aligned to the Privacy Act 2020
  • Improve systems and processes that monitor legislative compliance and support effective governance reporting
  • Drive process improvement to simplify workflows, reduce waste and release time for quality service delivery
  • Oversee records and organisational policy management frameworks and practices and broader organisational improvement activity
  • Build strong relationships and influence across the organisation and with external partners, auditors and stakeholders
What you'll bring
  • An undergraduate degree or relevant professional qualification (postgraduate leadership/management qualification preferred)
  • At least 7 years' experience as a senior manager, ideally within disability support, health or social services
  • Proven experience leading change and embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Confidence with quality improvement methodologies, assurance and audit processes, and governance reporting
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • A practical and strategic mindset - able to improve systems while keeping the person at the centre
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Te Ao Māori, and cultural competence in practice
Why this role matters

Brackenridge is on a transformational journey - continuing to strengthen systems, improve consistency, and ensure that the quality of our services matches the intent behind them. This role plays a central part in that journey.

You'll help ensure that learning from incidents leads to real improvement, that systems support rather than hinder frontline teams, and that quality is something experienced by the people we serve.

Why join us

You'll be joining a committed, values-driven organisation where people genuinely care about the work and the outcomes they achieve together.

This is a rare opportunity to shape how safety, quality and learning are strengthened across the organisation - while working alongside passionate people who are committed to making a difference every day.
