Bishop is partnering with a large, complex public sector organisation to appoint a Finance Manager into a newly created role with genuine strategic reach. This is not a maintenance role. It's a chance to reshape how finance operates across an organisation that delivers critical services to communities across the region.
Reporting to an experienced, collaborative General Manager, you'll lead four specialist teams (around 13 kaimahi pūtea) and play a key part in lifting financial maturity, strengthening long-term planning and guiding major improvement programmes - including the implementation of new information system.
Your influence will extend across the organisation, helping leaders make better decisions, improving financial processes and embedding more rigorous business case development, capital planning and commercial analysis.

What You'll Bring
- Chartered Accountant qualification
- Senior financial leadership experience in a large or complex environment
- Strong delivery capability across financial strategy, planning and performance
- High EQ and the ability to influence, communicate and partner across diverse stakeholders
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach and a systems-wide mindset
