Bishop Associates is seeking a talented Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join a values-driven, growth-focused organisation in Christchurch. This is a high-impact role where your insights will directly shape strategy and support ambitious growth across diverse sectors.
As part of a collaborative finance team, you’ll bring financial rigour and analytical firepower to the table – helping senior leaders and operational managers see beyond the numbers to uncover opportunities, tackle risks and make confident decisions.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager of Finance, you’ll take the lead on:
- Driving annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts and scenario planning
- Building and maintaining financial models to evaluate performance and investments
- Delivering accurate, timely and insightful reporting and dashboards
- Analysing variances and highlighting risks and opportunities with clarity
- Business partnering with operational teams to support decision making
- Continuously improving financial processes, tools and systems for greater efficiency and transparency
About You
You’re an ambitious finance professional who thrives on turning complex data into clear business insights. To stand out, you’ll bring:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (CA/CFA preferred or in progress)
- Solid experience in FP&A, management accounting, or corporate finance
- Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills
- Proven capability in budgeting, forecasting and reporting in complex, multi-entity environments
- Excellent communication skills – able to tell the story behind the numbers
- A proactive, curious mindset and appetite for continuous improvement
