The Opportunity
Bishop are pleased to partner with Brymac in search of a motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead their busy Christchurch operation. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role within a respected local business, backed by national support and a clear growth mindset.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Oversee the daily activities of a five-person team, managing both retail and trade-focused staff. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, and ensure individual performance aligns with role objectives.
• Customer Experience: Engage with trade and retail customers, offering tailored advice and support on products and design solutions.
• Sales Management: Prepare and follow up on quotations, process orders, and drive sales performance to meet and exceed store targets.
• Store Operations: Manage rosters, visual merchandising, and health and safety. Carry out administrative duties including sample coordination, pricing, and debtor control.
• Stock Oversight: Support stock-takes, investigate variances, and manage clearance lines, sales items, and discounts.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong depth of experience in consultative retail or trade sales, with proven ability to meet targets.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
• Warm, confident, and customer-focused communication style.
• Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-oriented approach.
• Experience in flooring or interior design is an advantage, but not essential.
• Willingness to “muck in” and contribute across all aspects of store life – aligned with the team value that “everyone touches the tiles”.

Hours: This is a full-time position within a six-day business with rostered weekend work required.
