The Opportunity
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you’ll play a strategic role in sourcing and negotiating the supply of raw materials, ingredients, and consumables that keep Hellers running at full steam. You’ll partner closely with different departments, from Product Development to Operations, contributing to their supply chain excellence by ensuring they meet both production deadlines and commercial goals. Your proactive and curious mindset, combined with strong commercial acumen, will be critical as you navigate tenders, manage suppliers, and find cost-effective solutions for the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver commercially focused procurement strategies alongside the Purchasing Manager.
- Work collaboratively across the business, managing materials and purchases to meet production timelines.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring KPI targets are achieved and regularly reviewed.
- Identify procurement savings and implement initiatives to reduce total supply chain costs.
- Contribute to setting stock levels and managing working capital effectively.
- Ensure supplier compliance with Hellers’ environmental, social, food safety, and health and safety policies.
- Fully embrace and communicate the Hellers purpose and values.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline would be beneficial
- Experience in a strategic procurement role.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with tendering processes and a passion for achieving the best commercial outcomes.
- Knowledge of procurement systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus.
