About the Role
This part-time role (30 hours per week across five days) offers the opportunity to take ownership of key accounting processes within a fast-paced, multi-entity business. You’ll support the financial operations of Craigmore’s farming and forestry entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency and efficiency across all accounting activities.
 
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you’ll manage core transactional tasks including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations and month-end processing. You’ll also assist with cashflow monitoring, budgeting, and compliance activities such as GST and FBT returns.

This role will suit someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys variety, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, timely results.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Complete reconciliations and support month-end reporting processes
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow monitoring
  • Support GST, FBT, and other IRD compliance requirements
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset and job cost records
  • Contribute to process improvements and best practice within the finance function
  • Provide backup payroll support as required
About You
You’ll be a capable and organised accounting professional with sound technical knowledge and a practical, proactive approach. You enjoy variety, work well to deadlines and are motivated by the challenge of keeping multiple entities running smoothly and efficiently.
 
You will bring:
  • A tertiary qualification in accounting or similar (or studying towards one)
  • Experience in management or financial accounting, ideally within a multi-entity environment
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and strong Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Clear communication skills and strong time management
Agricultural, forestry, or related industry experience is an advantage but not essential.
